This is a translation for convenience. The Spanish version is the legally binding one; if the two ever disagree, the Spanish text prevails.

The honest summary
Almost all our tools process your file inside your own browser: it isn't uploaded anywhere. Five of them —Word to PDF, PDF to Word, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and PDF to PowerPoint— do send the file to our server, convert it and delete it immediately.
Every tool carries a visible badge saying which of the two it does, and it says so before you upload anything.
Your documents
In the tools marked «on your device»: the file is processed locally on your device by code running in your browser. At no point is it transmitted to us or to anybody else. When you close or reload the page, it disappears from the browser's memory.
In the five marked «on our server» (Word to PDF, PDF to Word, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and PDF to PowerPoint): the file travels encrypted over HTTPS to a server of ours, is converted in a temporary folder, and that folder is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes, however long it takes and even if it fails. We keep no copy, we don't read it and we don't use it for anything. No record of the name or the content is kept either: our technical log notes only the size in kilobytes and how long it took.
They need a server because converting Office documents requires a layout engine and the exact metrics of typefaces like Calibri or Cambria, and a browser doesn't have those.
Data we do handle
- Usage statistics: we measure which pages are visited and which tools are used, in aggregate and anonymously. Specifically we record the page, the approximate country, the browser language and —when a tool produces a result— the name of that tool (for example, «compress»). Nothing about the content of your documents is ever recorded, nor the file name.
- Contact: if you write to us, we keep your message and your email address only in order to reply.
Who sees that data
Only us. The statistics are collected by a program running on our own server, not a third-party service. We don't use Google Analytics or any tool that shares data with other companies. We don't load fonts, scripts or resources from other domains either: when you open this site, your browser contacts nobody but us.
Cookies
We don't use cookies. The statistics work without them and without following you across websites, which is why you won't see any consent banner. The only thing we store in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, in your own device's local storage.
If we ever show advertising, those providers could use cookies. We won't do it without saying so here first.
Your rights
Since we don't keep your documents or build profiles from them, we barely hold any data about you. For any query about data, or to exercise your rights, write to us at contacto@pulpopdf.com.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above. The underlying principle won't change: your files are yours, and when a tool needs to send them to our server we'll tell you beforehand, in the tool itself.
